BU Student Introduction for Ecomm Class (BU TM 648)

Hello Everyone,

My name is Wayne Hsiao and I am in my last class to complete the project management of masters program. My long term goal is to become project management certified and I am currently working as a project manager in the Ecommerce Dept for PC Connection Inc in NH.

I currently specialize in the project management of online event project (virtual trade shows) and website based projects (consumer/IT). Listed below is a logo for our 4th virtual trade show, click here to check out the microsite and event agenda.



With this Ecomm Class(BU TM 648) I hope to gain more insight and practical knowledge in the area of Ecommerce to assist me in my web project work and understanding its inner workings/theories.

It is my personal goal to bring my knowledge in PM in creating efficient processes, streamlined approaches, and strategic planning to the corporations I work for.

Outside of work and school, my hobbies include piano, martial arts, weight lifting, cooking, and watching the abc television series lost.

On a personal note, I recently turned 30 this past summer which was turned out to be a good time to gain perspective on life and where the next 30 years would take me. With that said, my co-workers felt it was good time remind me that I was now older than dirt :-p (See the picture below)




Personally, I'm a big believer that you're only as old as you feel :-)

Things To Do At 3:38 AM

Early Bird Gets the Worm?

My sentiments exactly:-)

There's almost certainly no reason to be up at 3:38 AM in the morning on a Thursday in October. With the exception of the following:

A: You Can't Sleep
B: Am a Night Owl/Early Bird
C: You're Enrolled in a BU Online Project Management Course :-)
D: Have a project due in less than a week
E: Appreciate the challenge of changing your inner circadian rythym
All of the Above

All of the above for me :-) I'm actually on my way to work to finish up an online trade show project so that our sponsoring vendors can get a preview of their booths before the live event day next week. Hopefully I won't be up again posting at 3:38am but if I do.. I'll be sure to post again.. Now its off to work!

So if you're up reading this, go back to sleep.. at least do it for me:-)
